Trimspa
You have no doubt heard of the near infamous weight loss supplement Trimspa. This product was quite popular for a while due to its clever advertising schemes which featured well known celebrities in tight fitting apparel declaring that Trimspa gave them their star-powered physique. Trimspa was developed in order to help effect weight loss through appetite suppression and additional fat burning in order to help you achieve the elite body of the celebrities you have long envied.
What are the ingredients?
Trimspa’s main ingredients are listed as hoodia gordonii, glucosamine, and green tea extract. This product did at one time contain ephedra but, as ephedra has since been banned by the FDA, that is no longer the case. If you are purchases this product from an auction site it is important to make sure that it is not an older bottle that contains ephedra as ephedra is extremely harmful and addictive. Trimspa’s main ingredient is hoodia gordonii, which is hands down the most overly-hyped and sought after ingredient on the market today. There is literally zero evidence that hoodia can help accomplish even the most meager or weight loss goals. Trimspa further fails to implement an adequate dose of green tea extract, a generally helpful weight loss agent, thereby negating its inclusion. The ingredients that have been scientifically proven have only been shown to be successful in specific amounts. Trimspa does not utilize this information.
Bottom line
Don’t be fooled by the glitz of celebrity. Celebrities that endorse products are paid to do so and not all celebrities have the scruples required to turn down million dollar paychecks for a less than promising product. The other products available may not be able to boast any well-known names but it’s really more important that a weight loss supplement can boast weight loss results. Trimspa does not seem to have any merit as a weight loss supplement and we do not recommend its use at this time.
