Amfedrine is supposed to be the strongest diet pill on the market that can be obtained without a prescription. If I’m not mistaken, this is not the first diet pill to make that claim. How do they know they are really the strongest on the market? We’re not sure if that claim is validated so we decided to take a look and see if it is even effective. It claims to promote weight loss by reducing appetite, increasing metabolism, increasing energy, and improve your body’s ability to burn fat. They official site even references some university studies done on the four main ingredients it uses. So what are these ingredients?
What are the ingredients?
Caffeine Anhydrous-This ingredient does indeed increase energy, and has been shown to have a thermogenic effect on the body. However, it’s results are not long-lasting, and it has some annoying side effects for many.
Green Tea Extract – This ingredient has been shown by several studies to increase metabolism, and may promote weight loss. However, it must be in a high enough concentration to be effective. That concentration is 400 mg. Many fat burners just don’t contain enough.
Chromium Polynicotinate – A mineral that is effective in controlling blood pressure and blood sugar. It may have some ability curb appetite due to its effect on blood sugar, but it has not been shown effective in weight loss.
Hoodia Gordonii – This ingredient is used in so many product that it seems logical that it is effective and safe. That is not really that case. It is effective in appetite suppression, but not in weight loss. Just because you’re not hungry doesn’t mean your not going to eat. It has also been linked to a few dangerous side effects.
Bottom line
Amfedrine is not a product we would gladly support. We don’t doubt that it can help some. We do, however, doubt that it is the strongest weight loss pill on the market. It really doesn’t have any special ingredients, and even though it cites a few studies that does not mean those ingredients are useful for weight loss.
