Alvidar Reviews
Alvidar is actually a Thyroid supplement that is marketed as a fat burner. It is designed to help those with under-active thyroids through iodine supplementation. One of the main symptoms of hyperthyroidism is weight gain. By stimulating the thyroid to produce more hormones can help lead to weight loss. However, if you do not have hypothyroidism then you most likely will not benefit from more iodine. In fact it can lead to too much thyroid stimulation and hyperthyroidism will result. Let’s take a look at the ingredients to see if it can help those without thyroid problems.
What are the ingredients?
Laminariae Stipites(Kelp) – This is a source of iodine that can healthy for you if you are deficient. However, many Americans are not deficient due to the iodine content that is put into our salt.
Bladderwrack – Another source of iodine that is supposed to support digestive health.
Serenoa Repens – Good for digestive health, and used to shrink enlarged prostates. Has actually been used in products to increase weight.
Gentianae Radix – An anti-inflammatory.
Capsicum Frutescens – High in Vitamin C and used to increase the immune system and rid the body of free radicals.
Echinacea Purpurea – An ingredient used as an stimulant for the immune system. If you’re trying to treat hypothyroidism this is not an ingredient you want because hypothyroidism is sometimes considered an autoimmune disease. By stimulating the immune system you may actually be causing more harm.
Ananas Comosus – This ingredient is derived from Pineapple and used as an anti-inflammatory.
Bottom line
We caution against the use of Alvidar. For weight loss it will most likely not provide any results. Frankly, most people do not have a thyroid disorder. And if you do, there’s a 50% chance that you have an overactive thyroid and you’ll have more trouble keeping weight on. This being said, there are other symptoms to say the least, and if you have a thyroid disorder, this will not help you. If you don’t, then it will not help you.
